I’m learn about Design Ethnography from 100 Days of Product Design by Susan K Rits (https://100days.design), my understanding of the Design Ethnography is a user-centered research method that product designers use to understand the user experience or more simply observe user behavior in interacting. These observations aim to find the cause of a bad user experience and figure out how to fix it.
The Challenge : Conduct a real-world design ethnography at a local coffee shop based on Challenge Day 2.
Here are my observations:
I get some pain points from users:
- The indicated seat is taken by the person
- Hesitate the waiter did not find his seat
- Hesitate to make payment at the beginning / end
- Lost the seat that was indicated
- Long order arrived because the waiter was looking for a user
- Doubt the order does not match what was ordered
- Doubt the order did not arrive
- Do the order have to go to the cashier again
- Payment at the end and have to go to the cashier
- Forgot to pay after enjoying an order
This is my assignment Day 3 of the 100 Days of Product Design Challenge #100daysdesign
